      "Nordseeliebe" Crochet Mitts by Tanja Osswald.

      "Nordseeliebe" Crochet Mitts by Tanja Osswald.

      These fingerless gloves are named "North Sea Love" or "Nordseeliebe" as the cables reminded the designer of seamen's knots.  These horizontal cables are a technique that Tanja Osswald invented.

      The pattern calls for the following:

      * 4.5 mm hook

      * Gauge: 21 stitches and 32 rows = 4 inches in back loop only slip stitch (B)

      * 197-219 yards of DK weight yarn.  We recommend HiKoo's Sueno.  Pictured below are the colors we recently received in store.

      Click here for the pattern  The pattern contains photo tutorials for all stitches and techniques used, including a very extensive tutorial on the cable.
